Even outside festival days, there's plenty to experience in Yerseke, from historic oyster pits to seals in the Oosterschelde.

• Oyster pit guided tourThe oyster pits have been in use since 1870. A 1.5-hour guided tour starts at Kerkplein 14, from €8.95 per adult and €4.95 per child up to 12 (minimum 4 people). Optional: oyster raking from €13.50. Book via Tourist Shop Yerseke or by phone: +31 113 750 711.
• Seal spotting by boatMarstrand Rondvaarten and Varenzeeland depart from Yerseke harbour for a trip along the sandbanks of Oosterschelde National Park, where seals regularly haul out.
• OosterscheldeMuseumDuring renovation, temporarily housed at "De Lepel", Lepelstraat 7B, open Mon-Sat 12:30-16:30 (closed Sundays). Check the current status on oosterscheldemuseum.nl before visiting.
• Nature: Yerseke Moer & the harboursWalk or cycle along the dykes of Zuid-Beveland, visit Yerseke's three harbours -- especially the working fishing harbour -- or explore Yerseke Moer, a tidal salt marsh full of birdlife.
